17 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 12.12.2017 MTP Charity Update Link to hope shoebox appeal This MTP tradition once again gave the boys the chance to feel part of something bigger that helps others. By fi lling an ordinary shoe boxes with gifts for needy children the boys ensured that some children might have their most memorable Christmas ever. Over a hundred shoeboxes were collected by the boys, as you can see from the photograph it was quite a sight. These shoe boxes will be added to the million plus shoeboxes that will be sent from the UK to impoverished children in hospitals, orphanages, displaced persons camps and homeless shelters in some of the world’s most deprived areas. All boxes are given to the neediest children regardless of nationality, political background or religious beliefs. Please click on the Link to Hope clip below to see them being distributed. So a huge thank you for all the time and effort that was put in to the boxes. Judging from the beautiful gift wrap it was clear that a lot of time and energy were spent on putting them together.
