28 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 07.02.2018 MTP Visitors Charlie Walker We are very lucky that we can present a variety of interesting visiting speakers to the boys and this half term has been no exception. A few weeks ago, Years 3-8 were joined in assembly by Charlie Walker, a young man who has undertaken some extraordinary adventures across the world. He told us all about his 43,000 mile, 4 and a half year journey on a bicycle through the continents of Europe, Asia and Africa. Not only did he enthral us with his anecdotes but he also gave us a lot to consider about how resilient we are in our own lives and how to challenge ourselves to achieve. MTP History Year 8 Cinema Trip Year 8 went to see Darkest Hour, the multiple Oscar-nominated film about the earliest days of Winston Churchill’s premiership, at the cinema.
