The ‘week’ starts on Tuesday 20th February and runs until Friday 23rd February. Please be aware that there are also other events planned for later in the term and for the beginning of the summer term. A full pack of information is being sent home with your son for half-term. It will include: A poster reminding you of all the literary events happening this year, a Bookfair leaflet, two writing competition ideas, details of how to book for ‘I Believe in Unicorns’ in March. BOOKWEEK 2018 Bookfair Lalani New Barn Theatre - Every evening – 3.15-5.15 – Snacks provided by P.A. Wednesday 21st Theatre of Widdershins – Storytelling - Nursery – Year 4 Thursday 22nd Theatre of Widdershins – Puppet making with years 3 & 4 • Ollie Heath – Story Workshops – Nursery & Reception • Freshwater Theatre – Drama Workshop - Years 1 & 2 Friday 23rd DRESSING UP – Favourite Book Character THEATRE EVENT Tuesday 13th March – Danyah Miller returns to the Lalani New Barn Theatre with her beautiful and award winning production of Michael Morpurgo’s ‘I Believe in Unicorns. The tickets will be issued on a first come, first serve basis via Wisepay. WORLD BOOK DAY Thursday 1st March – The £1 book tokens will be issued at the end of February. POETRY FESTIVAL Tuesday 24th – Thursday 26th April - Paul Cookson returns to entertain the whole school. Accompanied by some friends, Paul is guaranteed to serve up loud, high energy, hilarious poetry.
