23 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 28.03.2018 MTP ThisMonth Bookweek 2018 Bookweek was concentrated into just three days this year, with three different visitors in the Manor, Pre-Prep and Years 3&4 on Thursday. The day before Andy Lawrence, from the Theatre of Widdershins, entertained all the boys from Nursery-Year 4 with the Three Billy Goats Gruff or Princess and the Pea. They were delighted to be shown some of his puppets and how they each work in different ways. On Thursday Andy spent the day with Years 3 and 4 teaching them how to handle puppets and make a simple potato puppet of their own. Remember boys: the puppet can last for years, so long as you remember not to store it in a plastic bag, leave it in the window and to pull off any sprouts! Meanwhile, the Manor were treated to a day of percussion with Ollie Heath and Pre-Prep were in the company of a green alien, as part of a drama workshop connected to their Space project. The Bookfair raised £866 pounds over the four evenings in the Lalani New Barn Theatre. Thank you to the P.A. for supporting the event with snacks and refreshments.
