43 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 28.03.2018 MTP Music MTS Orchestral Music Afternoon On Friday 16th March, orchestral players and percussionists went up to the Senior School to take part in this annual event. Each orchestral section rehearsed individual pieces, and there were also massed items for the whole orchestra. The day ended with a concert to which parents were invited. Boys and parents have commented on how enjoyable and rewarding the experience was. Merchant Taylors’ Hall Concert On Monday 26th February, the Senior Choir and String Quartet performed at Merchant Taylors’ Hall in the City of London. This very special annual occasion brings together boys from MTP, as well as students from Merchant Taylors’ School and others. Both groups performed very well, and particular mention must go to the members of the String Quartet. As such a small group, they are all very much in the spotlight, but were completely unphazed and performed with real confidence. Well done to all.
