26 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 25.05.2018 MTP Music Young Musician of the Year Winners from each category andMr Keval Shah Spring ABRSM results In the Spring term, many boys took ABRSM music exams and did very well. Rishi Patel and Ruben Rudrakumar gained their Prep Test certificate on cello and flute respectively. The following boys achieved a pass in their grade exams: Henry Cargill-Thompson (grade 2 alto saxophone), Taran Chahil (grade 3 flute), Jay Ghelani (grade 3 guitar), Yash Kotecha (grade 3 cello), Nikhil Mohan (grade 2 flute), Shyam Pankhania (grade 4 flute), Ruben Sahota (grade 2 piano), Krishav Sehdev (grade 3 piano), Eashan Shah (grade 1 cornet), Arjun Singh- Ahuja (grade 1 flute), Jayden Thakrar (grade 3 guitar). Many congratulations to the following boys who passed with merit: Parth Malhotra (grade 2 cornet, grade 2 piano and grade 3 singing), Ishan Olsen (grade 2 guitar), Leo Osman (grade 3 piano) and Matthew Schiˆ (grade 5 descant recorder). The following boys did exceptionally well, passing with distinction: Luka Hinton (grade 3 guitar), Parth Malhotra (grade 1 guitar), Max Osman (grade 1 piano), Yiorgos Velimachitis (grade 2 piano), Vivaan Verma (grade 3 singing), Ayush Shah (grade 1 piano) and Felix Regnard-Weinrabe (grade 4 piano).
