37 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 06.07.2018 Parents’Association Update Where has this year gone? We are all surprised at how quickly we have come to the end of another academic year. On behalf of the MTP Parents’ Association, we would like to thank you so many of you for attending our events and for all your support. We have had a busy year and would like to take this opportunity to mention some of the highlights of 2017/2018: - signing up 103 parents and as Stem Cell donors with DKMS and raising £500 for the charity - holding our first MTP Comedy Night - watching a spectacular display at our annual Fireworks Spectacular - the return of the Christmas family secrets room - our home baked cakes for the Royal wedding themed mufti day Some dates for your 2018 calendar are: October 10th – Drinks Reception October 12th – Mufti Day November 9th –Fireworks Spectacular We once again hope to run regular uniform Sales in 2018/2019. Please do continue to keep providing us with the MTP uniform that your boys have grown out of. This can be left in the school office or given to one of the committee. At our AGM, held on 19 June, we re-elected Farah Kausar and Gurneen Chadha as our Chairs, Samir Patel and Afreen Nagaria as our Treasurers and Aarti Bahanda as Secretary. The 2018/2019 committee is made up of the ever committed parents Anjna Kapoor, Daksha Patel, Davinia Natt, Deepa Dattani, Fabricia Amaral, Neelu Mohan, Ravinder Kumar, Rucchi Arora, Sona Patel and me, Anila Shyam. Please do reach out to any of us should you like to get more involved and volunteer at any of our events.
