17 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 27.09.2018 MTP Classics Verulamium Visit Thursday, 13th September saw Y5 visiting Verulamium Park, Museum and Theatre. The boys enjoyed the excellent handling sessions, working with real and replica Roman objects. They were curious and imaginative, and asked perceptive questions. They felt comfortable in the Museum, having visited before in Y3, and were able to deepen their knowledge. The beautiful sunshine necessitated a change to shirt-sleeve order as the boys explored the hypocaust, London Gate foundations and sections of wall in the park. They were also able to see how the Verulamium Theatre went through di erent stages of development. The boys were superbly well behaved and courteous, making this visit a real pleasure!
