1 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 27.09.2018 It’s amazing to think that we have already reached the end of September and we only have three weeks until half term. I am delighted to see how well all of our new boys have settled in and that they are already making great contributions to our school. We also have some new sta who have been very welcome additions to our team. In Year 1 we have Mrs Doherty as class teacher and Miss Eugeniou as teaching assistant; in Year 3 we have Mrs Daley and Mrs Wookey as class teachers; Mrs Waddell is our new Head of History; Mr van Straten is our new Head of IT and Mr Cho-Yee is our network manager; Miss Benson joins us as part- time classics teacher and Mrs Sayers as part-time intervention teacher. Thank you to parents who have already supported events this term, including Dedication of the Term, English Showcase and today’s Macmillan Co ee Morning. It is always a pleasure to welcome you into school. Next week we have Open Mornings for prospective parents and you may be interested to know that interest in our school continues to be huge. We have twice the number of people registered to visit for Open Morning than last year and our applications for 3+, 4+ and 7+ continue to be very large. Our Year 8 boys are currently working on their ambassador training as their part in giving tours to prospective parents is always a vital part of promoting our school.
