24 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 27.09.2018 MTP Senior Leadership Team The Autumn term has started purposefully with a typically full calendar that has included: Sports trials; Sta & Parents’ Co ee; Year 5 visit to Verulamium; Dedication of the Term led by MTS Chaplain, James Fields and our Year 4 Choir; casting for the Y6 production of ‘Grimm Tales’; the launch of Fantasy Football 2018 courtesy of Charity Rep, Krish Thakrar 8L1 and our first fixtures in Hockey and Football. We look forward to your support at fixtures and we ask for parental support in checking homework and signing the Pupil Organiser every day. Boys may stay for Supervised Prep at school if that is more convenient. Year 5-8 Supervised Prep is in the LRC and pupils not collected by 4.30pm, will be sent to Prep. Parents should visit the School Oce if they wish to collect their son before 5.15pm. Please be aware that boys not collected by 5.30pm will join the Late Activity Club for which there is a charge. Sports Department Reminder Boys should bring a reusable water bottle to Games lessons. Please could parents ensure that these bottles are watertight and do not leak into boys’ bags and onto their books? Forthcoming Events We are now looking forward to Founder’s Day, Harvest, the Moor Park Fun Run and the Year 7/8 Battlefields Trip, as well as the Concert of Remembrance & Hope at the Birmingham Symphony Hall on Sunday 11th November, for which the Senior Choir has been busily preparing: book your tickets at https://www.thsh.co.uk/event/remembrance-concert using the discount code MTaylors.
