By the end of this term: • 3179 books read by 209 boys (statistically that’s 15 books per reader) * • 96 million words accumulated (averaging 459,000 per reader). This time last year it was 77 million and we thought that was the record. • 26 Millionaires represented across every year group in Years 3-8 • Eight 3 millionaires (having been millionaires three years in a row) • Five 5 millionaires • Two 8 millionaires – Paasha Mohammadi (Y8), Matthew Schiff (Y7) • One 15 millionaire No doubt Jay Ghelani (Y8) will still be heading for 20 million before he leaves next summer. He does know that we have now run out of badges to award scores higher than this! • Three Honours Readers in the first term. Congratulations to: Lokan Bavisi (Y5), Jayden Thakrar (Y6), Aran Gill (Y4). AR’s top award is not usually achieved until the summer term. House leader board winners changed for the first time since AR started in September 2015 Johnson : 27,983,725– 9 millionaires Newton : 26,525,603 – 9 millionaires Wren : 20,722,613 – 5 millionaires Livingstone : 20,003,860– 3 millionaires * On a more serious note: 2,840 books read were actually passed, which means 339 books were failed.
