33 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 14.12.2018 Year 3 Ancient Egyptians Day 2018 MTP History On Wednesday 5th December, Year 3 were lucky enough to spend a whole day immersed in the past. Their time travelling adventure served as a fantastic end to their Ancient Egypt topic. They spent a whole day investigating what life was actually like in Ancient Egypt. The boys enjoyed handling and questioning artefacts showing impressive curiosity. During the morning they used a cubit rod to measure objects ‘Egyptian’ style and completed a fact-finding quiz demonstrating impressive research skills and determination. In the afternoon the boys used creativity and imagination when they participated in a role play exploring what happened when a pharaoh died. A fantastic day was had by all!
