32 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 05.07.2019 MTP Sport House Cricket Competitions have taken place bringing all boys together to compete towards the Summer term House Trophy. Wren house dominated with victories in the Y5/6, Y7/8 and the Y3/4 Competitions. Congratulations to them and particularly to those in Y3 who competed in their first House Cricket Competition. Our U9 Cricket team finished their season by attending the York House Cricket Festival recently, playing against each of the four other local schools that participated and gaining a victory over St John’s on along the way. Congratulations on an excellent season. As we head into the summer break, we’d like to offer a huge thank you to all boys and parents that have given so much time and effort over the school year to participate in fixtures. Good luck to our U11 Cricket team competing in the National Finals on 10th July, you have already achieved so much in getting this far, good luck in your attempts to win our first ever National Cricket competition. We wish you a restful summer holidays, and look forward to welcoming everyone back in the Autumn term into the Hockey and Rugby season.
