20 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 15.11.2019 MTP Genesis Day Year 3-8 Genesis Day Prep School Pupils enjoyed the School’s 3rd Genesis Day before half-term and chose to spend it vertically with groups made of both younger and older boys. Groups were challenged to look ahead to ‘The Future’ - imagining what it could be like for transport, housing, robots, mobile phones or gaming and researching some of the technologies that are already being developed. Several groups focused on energy and the impact of Artificial Intelligence on our world, with some fantastic results! Johnson questions included: Will teleportation be possible? What is the future of nanotechnology? Will humanity run out of resources? What will the world be like in the future? Livingstone questions included: What does the future of transport look like? What will spy technology look like in the future? What will the future of fashion look like? How will climate change impact the world? Newton questions included: What will houses be like in 2050? How will AI be used in the future? What will cricket be like in the future? What will reading be like in the future? Wren questions included: What will Parliament be like in the future? Will humans eventually live in outer space? Will VAR take over referees? Will sport cross the gender barrier? Johnson Wren Newton Livingstone
