55 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 15.11.2019 MTP Sport Sport Congratulations to our senior Rugby players on two very competitive matches against St John’s this week. Overall honours were shared in the end with our U12’s putting in the performance of the term so far winning 7-5. U8’s recently took A-C teams to Thorpe House and recorded three impressive victories, a great start to the term for our youngest players. Recently our senior students took part in the first ever MTP House Hockey competition, involving all boys in Y7/8. Johnson House ran out winners after scoring the deciding goal in the final minute of the last match. We now look forward to this week’s Y6 House Hockey competition. As the winter draws in we start to look ahead to our House Cross-Country events at the end of term; preparations are underway with Y7&8 being the first students to run around the MTS lake this term. With the cold weather in mind, a polite reminder to bring appropriate warm clothing for each Games session. Good luck to all for the upcoming Rugby and Hockey fixtures.
