24 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 23.10.2020 New Laptops MTP Computing What a year it has been for digital learning. Every student and teacher spent last term adapting to the challenges of remote or hybrid learning. Now that we’re back in school we can start to develop our functional and computational thinking skills face to face. Just before lockdown occurred, we had placed an order for a replacement set of Pre-Prep laptops. The kit arrived after school had shut. Our new fleet of HP laptops are smaller, lighter and much faster than their predecessors. We have ordered smaller mice to allow younger students to master essential IT skills. Years 1 & 2 have been learning core IT functions, like how to use a mouse accurately. As you can see from these images, Year 2 are mastering the fundamentals of keyboard skills.
