Sadly we were unable to enjoy such larks this year (the reason escapes me) and so to prevent unnecessary upset our new Year 8’s were offered the chance to use the school site for a micro climate study. Happily they skipped, through woods and fields and gardens, measuring all manner of important things like wind speed, temperature, light intensity and soil moisture levels - their results will lend themselves eventually to a more condensed version of the legendary ‘Field Project’. They should really look on the bright side: no waterproofs, no wellingtons, no route marches and no room inspections. Instead just pure Geography. Mr Bowman Head of Geography
