41 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 16.12.2021 Remembrance Projects As part of their topic about the First World War, the Year 8 boys were set the challenge of designing a War Memorial. The assessment criteria included cultural awareness and empathy to communicate the way they felt that the conflict should be remembered and represented in our society. Boys used creativity, collaboration and perseverance. Current restrictions meant that many boys decided to use technology as the medium best placed to create their ideas and it can be hard to fully reflect the impact of these designs in an image.
