29 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 10.02.2022 MTP Drama Trestle Mask Theatre Workshops As part of our whole school initiative to pursue Artsmark status, the Drama department has joined forces with our Artsmark Professional Partner, Trestle Theatre Company, to help design a brand new set of half masks aimed solely at younger children. To this end, Trestle Theatre Company visited the school on Thursday 13th January to offer four hours of half-mask workshops to our Year 4 and Year 6 boys to further develop their prototype mask ideas. Every boy in Year 4 and Year 6 participated in an hour of professionally-run mask technique workshops in our Lalani New Barn Theatre. The new half masks are still in the Research and Development stage, so we are not allowed to publish any photographs of them yet as they are Top Secret!
