52 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 25.03.2022 On a Fait des Crêpes Did you hear about the national competition to create the perfect pudding to celebrate the Queen’s 70th jubilee? The winning recipe will be presented to the Queen as part of her platinum jubilee celebrations later this year. The MFL Department ran a pancake challenge over the February half-term holiday: to create a pancake dish, fit for a Queen. Thank you to all our budding chefs (and parents) for your imaginative recreations of the French crêpe. Our Teams pages were populated with beautiful photographs and imaginative accounts of your endeavours. It was interesting to hear your comments after half–term. The most popular quips were: “Le chien a mangé mes devoirs”- the dog ate my homework, and better still: “J’ai mangé mes devoirs!” – I ate my homework. “Félicitations” to all the boys.
