29 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 14.10.2022 MTP History This term, Year 5 are investigating the question: ‘Why did William the Conqueror win the Battle of Hastings?’ As part of their investigations, they used empathy and imagination to participate in a role play. They interviewed the two leaders (Duke William and Harold Godwinson) on the eve of the Battle to find out who had the best army.
